Borkum Riffgrund 03​

Borkum Riffgrund 3 is an offshore wind farm by Ørsted located in the German North Sea, about 53 kilometers off the coast of Borkum. With a capacity of 913 MW and 83 Siemens Gamesa SG 11.0-200 DD turbines, it will be Germany's largest offshore wind farm. The electricity generated will be sold directly to companies through long-term power purchase agreements, without relying on subsidies. The wind farm is scheduled to be operational in 2025. SK-Korrosion prepared 6 monopiles in Stralsund for this wind farm in 2024.

Dogger Bank "C"

Dogger Bank C is the third phase of the Dogger Bank Wind Farm. It will include 87 GE Haliade-X 14 MW turbines, providing 1.2 GW of energy, sufficient to power 1.5 million households. Using the same HVDC technology as phases A and B, it ensures efficient power delivery to the mainland. Turbine installation is set to begin in 2025, with full commissioning by 2026. Together with the other phases, Dogger Bank C will help supply electricity to six million homes, reinforcing the UK’s leadership in offshore wind

Dogger Bank "B"

Dogger Bank B is the second phase of the world's largest offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea. It will feature 95 GE Haliade-X 13 MW turbines, generating 1.2 GW of power—enough to supply millions of UK households. The monopiles are produced by Sif Netherlands and Smulders Projects and installed around 130 kilometers off the coast. Power transmission will use advanced high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology to minimize energy losses. Completion is expected in 2024, marking a key milestone in renewable energy development​

Hollandse Kust Nord

Hollandse Kust Noord is one of the three areas allocated by the Dutch government for the development of wind at sea. The Consortium CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell in the Netherlands and Eneco, have been awarded the tender to build the wind farm subsidy-free. Sk-Korrosion was involved in this Project in shotblasting ans spraying activities.

Dogger Bank "A"

The Dogger Bank "A" is a large, elongated sandbank in the North Sea in the United Kingdom, in places only about 13 meters below sea level. It is considered the north-western boundary of the Great German Bight. The Dogger Bank "A", which lies in the british economic zone, is designated as a nature reserve. The monopiles produced will be installed on the 1.2 GW Dogger Bank "A", the phase one of the the three-phased project. 285 units in total will be manufactured.

Offshore-Windpark Hollandse Kust Zuid

The offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid is an offshore wind farm under construction in the North Sea in the Dutch exclusive economic zone outside the 12-mile zone. The wind farm consists of four sub-areas and is to be equipped with 140 11 MW SG DD-200 turbines from Siemens Gamesa. The four areas of the wind farm together cover an area of 236 km², they are 18 to 36 kilometers off the south-Holland coast at a water depth of 18 to 28 meters.

Saint Nazaire Offshore Wind park

The 480-megawatt (MW) wind farm will feature 80 GE Haliade 160-6MW turbines to be manufactured in France. According to GE, each Haliade turbine powers 5,000 homes; the project is expected to generate the equivalent of 20% of the Loire-Atlantique’s electricity consumption. Turbines will be located between 12 and 20 kilometres off the Loire-Atlantique coast, at depths ranging from 12 to 25 metres, and deployed an area of about 78 square km. Enbridge has a 25.5% ownership stake in the Saint-Nazaire Offshore Wind Project, which is expected to enter service in 2022.

Akita & Nashiro

The first offshore wind farm development in Japan(offshore Akita prefecture) with a total invesment of ~922m USD. The 33No wind turbine development will be installed at a waterdepth of approximately 30m and will exhibit 139MW production capacity. It is projected to provide energy for 140,000 households. In the long run the field is projected to reach a production capacity of 455MW production capacity powering 80% of the households of the Akita prefecture. SK provided surface protection services within SIF facilities for the 33No. monopiles. A challenging project where a new Client in a new region was engaged and successfully met new sets of standards and Client expectations.

Offshore-Windpark Triton Knoll

Triton Knoll is an offshore wind farm under construction in the UK EEZ in the North Sea. The wind farm is said to have an installed capacity of 857 megawatts (MW). The start of construction at sea was in January 2020, the commercial commissioning period is scheduled for 2022. A total of 90 MHI Vestas V164 wind turbines, each with a rated output of 9.5 MW, will be used. The offshore wind farm was developed by innogy (now RWE). It is 20 miles off the Lincolnshire coast.

Borssele [I + II + III + IV]

The Borssele windfarms are located approximately 22km off the coast of Zeeland province, the Netherlands. The offshore windfarms, with a combined capacity of 1400MW are composed of 6m diameter, 85m long monopiles installed in waterdepths ranging 14-38m. SK provided surface protection services within SIF facilities for the 173No. monopiles and delivered this prestigious project to the satisfaction of the Client.

SeaMade

SEAMADE is the second offshore wind farm to be realised by Otary. The SeaMade wind farm consists of two concession zones, Seastar and Mermaid, and is fully operational since end of 2020. SeaMade will produce enough sustainable energy to power 500,000 Belgian homes on an annual basis. The SeaMade wind farm is a combination of the Seastar and Mermaid projects. To achieve the required economies of scale, both projects were combined and partners Engie and Eneco came on board. The financing for the SeaMade wind project was completed in a record time of ten weeks. Otary and its partners take care of the development, financing and construction of the SeaMade wind project from start to finish and will manage the wind farm as from 2020.

Gemini

One of the largest offshore windparks in Europe with 600MW total production capacity, installed 85 kms offshore Netherlands at a waterdepth of 28-36m produces sustainable energy for 800.000 households. SK provided surface protection services by collaborating with SIF in the delivery of 5m diameter monopiles with lengths in the range of 59-73m; and with Fabricom Antwerp for the delivery of the substation of the Gemini Offshore Wind Farm. Successfull, on time and within budget delivery of a challenging and prestigious project.

Dudgeon

The Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm is installed approximately 32km off the coast of Norfolk, UK at a waterdepth in the range of 18-25m and is made of 67No turbines supported by monopiles approximately 7m in diameter, 60-78 meters in length and 600-1000 metric tonnes in weight each . Currently it is the furthest away windfarm from the coast of UK. The 402MW offshore wind farm is powering approximately 410,000 UK homes. SK provided surface protection services within SIF Vlissingen facilities for the 67No. monopiles, delivering this prestigious project to the satisfaction of the Client.

Rampion

A significant offshore wind farm development in UK the Rumpion Offshore Wind Farm is installed 13-20km off the coast of Sussex, UK at a waterdepth in the range of 19-40m and is made of 116No turbines supported by monopiles approximately 6m in diameter, 60-85 meters in length and 550-830 metric tonnes in weight each. The 40MW offshore wind farm is powering approximately 350,000 UK homes. SK provided surface protection services for the 116No. monopiles within SIF facilities, delivering a high quality end product.

Baltic II

The Baltic II Offshore Wind Farm is installed approximately 32km off the coast of Rügen, Germany at a waterdepth in the range of 23-44m and is made of 80No turbines. The 288MW offshore wind farm is powering approximately 340,000 German homes. SK was involved in the Final Repair Works (touch-ups) carried out offshore. All 80No. transition pieces were repaired and maintained, to the satisfaction of the Client.

DanTysk

The Dan Tysk Offshore Wind Farm is installed approximately 70km off the coast of Sylt, Germany at a waterdepth in the range of 21-32m and is made of 80No turbines. The 288MW offshore wind farm is powering approximately 400,000 German homes. SK was involved in the Construction phase Repair Works (touch-ups) carried out offshore. All 80No. transition pieces were repaired and delivered to Client’s satisfaction.

Merkur

The Merkur Offshore Wind Farm is installed approximately 45km to the north of Borkum Islands, Germany at a waterdepth in the range of 23-44m and is made of 66No turbines. The 400MW offshore wind farm is powering approximately 500,000 German homes. It is the first offhore wind farm development undertaken by GE and exhibits a substation installed at a water depth of 25 m, with total weight of 4,200 metric tonnes. SK was involved in the substation surface protection works onshore and and the inspection of surface protection quality offshore.

Marine

Century Glory, Century Cruises, Chongqing/China

Century Glory is the newest and largest super 5-star luxury cruise under of Century Cruises and adopts new intelligent technology on the cruise, sailing between Chongqing and Yichang on the Yangtze River. SK was mobilised with a short notice to China and was involved with a new Client in a new region and delivered the flooring systems for the Century Glory Cruiseship within a tight schedule.

Superyacht Jubilee, Blohm & Voss, GER

Jubilee is a 110.1m luxury motor yacht built by Oceanco in 2017 with a beam of 16.4m, a draft of 4.4m, and a gross tonnage of 4523 tons. Jubilee’s maximum range is estimated at 5000 nautical miles and can accommodate 31 guests in 16 cabins. SK collaborated with Blohm & Voss (Hamburg) and delivered flooring systems and a new Helideck for the Jubilee Superyacht and met the high quality expectations of the Client in this prestigious project.

Megayacht Ragnar, Icon Yachts NL

The 68.2 metre luxury with gross tonnage of 2,450 was converted from an icebraker to a Megayacht and has a maximum cruising range of 6,000 nautical miles. The vessel boasts exhibits Arctic explorer capabilities, luxury accommodation areas for 16 guests, a swimming pool, a sea explorer submarine and two laser sailing boats, a toy deck and fully certified helicopter landing pad. This was one of the largest flooring systems projects SK was involved with. Gangways, flooring systems and a new Helipad installation was delivered to the satisfaction of the Client.

Offshore Jackets

Johan Sverdrup

The Johan Sverdrup oil field is the third largest oilfied offshore Norway projected to produce 690,000 barrels of oil beyond 2022. It is composed of 5 bridge-linked platforms at a waterdepth of approximately 120m located 140m west of Stavanger. SK provided surface protection services for 20No. piles and 20No. jacket leg sections within SIF facilities and delivered these components for this prestigious project.

Other Projects

Kernkraftwerk Stade

The Stade nuclear power plant (KKS) was operated from 1972 to 2003 in Stadersand near the Schwinge estuary on the Elbe. It was the first nuclear power plant in Germany to be decommissioned after the nuclear phase-out and is currently being dismantled. SK-Korrosion was responsible for removing of steel attachments with the help of rope access technicians.

Allseas / Pioneering Spirit

The “Pioneering Spirit” is a large deep sea pipe laying ship. It was at the time of construction the world’s largest pipe-laying ship at 382 metres long and 400,000 tonnes. When fully operational she has a crew of 571, a pipe carrying capacity of 27,000 tonnes and a pipe lay speed of more than 5 km a day. SK was involved with the surface protection of the new Stringer structure for the “Pioneering Spirit”.

Leuchtrum Campen Lighthouse

Campen Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the village Campen, Lower Saxony, Germany. At a height of 64m it is the 14th tallest traditional lighthouse in the world and the tallest in Germany. SK was involved with the surface protection and maintenance of the existing Lighthouse.
